Regional director: Simon Footer
Simon Footer recently joined the RAF Benevolent Fund team as regional director following 33 years of RAF service, predominantly as a special forces Hercules pilot and latterly as a flying instructor.
He commanded LXX Squadron based at RAF Lyneham during the build up of the Afghanistan operation and continues to fly on an occasional basis as a reservist instructor at RAF Cosford.
In the last few years he has been involved with the RAF Benevolent Fund through events such as the RAF Cosford airshows, gala dinners and open air prom concerts along with the annual Royal International Air Tattoo and a number of other fundraising events.
