Annual review summary
Despite the tough economic climate, we are well placed to support the RAF family whenever it needs us.
Relieving stress on stations
The operational tempo is taking its toll on the serving RAF and their families. Much needed projects like Airplay play a significant role relieving some of that stress, and they are providing stimulating recreational activities for children and young people.
The ex-RAF community needed more help in 2010.The recession has hit many vulnerable members of the RAF family, and we have seen an increase in former members of the RAF falling into difficulty and being forced to turn to us for help.
Effective spending
We have no intention of cutting or reducing services that make such a difference to the lives of those we help.
Expanding our welfare provision
As demand for more specialised respite care grows, we will build a second short break cottage for serving personnel and a new dementia wing at Princess Marina House.
