If you, your partner or a dependant has a disability, we may be able to help with the cost of:
- Adaptations – changes to your house to ensure accessibility and improve your quality of life, such as installing a wheelchair ramp, widening door frames or improving ground floor facilities
- Equipment – such as stair lifts, walk-in baths and specialised computer equipment
- Mobility – electric wheelchairs and scooters
We usually offer assistance when you are already receiving some help from your local authority, but not enough to meet all your costs.
In most cases we make a grant towards your costs, but sometimes we feel it is more appropriate to give you a long term low interest loan.
