"I love my job, but without a facility like Kidzone, built by the RAFBF, I couldn't have stayed in the Air Force. Childcare centres are needed to retain people in the RAF." Flt Lt Mandy Milburn, RAF Cranwell.
In many RAF families today, both parents work as one income is rarely enough to live on.
When one partner is deployed, the other parent is often left to cope on their own and often forced to juggle their own work commitments with extra childcare responsibilities.
To help with this problem, we have spent over £12 million constructing and equipping childcare centres at 26 RAF stations over the last 8 years.
