Reaching Out Campaign 2008

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is celebrating the 90th birthday of the RAF this year. To mark the occasion the RAF’s main grant-making charity, which has been working alongside the RAF since its inception, is launching a campaign to remind heroes who’ve served their nation that their charity is here to help them.

The ‘Reaching Out Campaign’ appeals to any member of the RAF family in need, to step forward and seek support. The charity wants to let serving and retired members of the RAF, their partners and dependants, know that they could be missing out on much-needed welfare assistance - because they don't realise they are eligible for help.

Sir Robert Wright, Controller of the RAF Benevolent Fund says: “We are launching our ‘Reaching Out Campaign’ in the RAF’s 90th year to remind all those people who’ve served in the RAF, past and present, that the RAF Benevolent Fund is their charity and that we are here to help them through difficult times.”

The ensuing year will see the RAF Benevolent Fund rolling out its campaign across all UK regions.
