Annual review summary

In 2019 we celebrated our centenary and launched an ambitious new campaign. We asked the public to help us find veterans who had fallen 'off the radar' and could benefit from our support. Side by side, shoulder to shoulder, we had been with the RAF Family every step of the way for over 100 years. We also expanded many of our welfare services, ensuring RAF veterans and serving personnel are at the heart of everything we do.

This year's Review reflects the very broad range of support that the Fund provides. In 2019 we reached out and supported more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family, spending £28.2M in doing so, including £7.2M on the currently serving and their families.

Growing up in the RAF

Our report Growing Up in the RAF is the first research to look exclusively at the wellbeing of children and young people in the UK with RAF parents. The report focusses on children who have one or both parents in the RAF and looks at their experiences living as part of a service family. Download the report:
