Stuart and Sacha Whiteman and their children were enjoying their dream RAF posting to Cyprus when Sacha was diagnosed with breast cancer.
After several trips back to Britain, Sacha learned that she needed a second mastectomy and chemotherapy.
Determined to keep the family together and be there for Sacha, Stuart requested a return to Britain and was posted to RAF Odiham.
Chemotherapy is gruelling, so the family decided to take a break at Seacot, the RAF Benevolent Fund's beautiful family cottage right on the seafront on the South Coast. Stuart's parents came along too to lend a hand.
"The cottage is a phenomenal facility and words can't really describe how great it is - from the magnificent views, the gadgets and home comforts to the facilities and toys for the children," says Stuart. "We all had a fantastic break from what was a tough time for our family."
