Paul Hewson, who leads our south of England regional team, had a call offering a generous donation to the RAF Benevolent Fund. Paul tells us more in this blog.
Out of the blue this morning I had a call from the warrant officer on the Queen's Colour Squadron at RAF Northolt.
He was calling to tell me about a generous donation to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
The squadron had been hosting some staff of technology company, OpenText UK, so they could experience life and training with the RAF.
As a way of saying thank you, OpenText offered to make a £5,000 donation to charity, and the Queen’s Colour Squadron very kindly chose us as the charity to receive the gift.
So I was really pleased to visit the OpenText offices and receive a cheque for £5,000 from Paul Lewis, their head of customer services.
This is a fantastic boost to our fundraising efforts, and it’s great to know that companies like OpenText are supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund’s work.
A big thank you to everyone at OpenText and the Queen’s Colour Squadron.
