A former air cadet, Pete Bewes, celebrated his 60th birthday by cycling from his home in Lancashire to Lossiemouth to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
The day before his arrival, two Tornados from RAF Lossiemouth crashed and three airmen tragically lost their lives.
So, Pete and his wife Janet, who supported him by driving the 411 miles, decided to dedicate their journey and the funds raised to RAF Lossiemouth and the three Tornado crew.
They have now raised the magnificent sum of £1,300 for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
What a generous and selfless way to celebrate a birthday – well done and thank you!
