The RAF Benevolent Fund is delighted to be supported by the Blades aerobatic display team.
The Blades are a full-time civilian display team and are the only display team in the world that, in addition to flying air displays, also acts as an airline taking passengers on close formation aerobatic flights for unforgettable flying experiences.
The team recently raised £6,104 for the RAF Benevolent Fund from their Annual Ball and Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive Edward Sharman recently went to a cheque presentation with a difference.
On receiving the money, Edward Sharman from Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund said: "The RAF Benevolent Fund is here to support the entire RAF family, from the youngest child on an RAF Station to the oldest veteran.
"We receive no routine funding so rely on the generosity of supporters up and down the country to enable us to do our work. We are so grateful for the support of the Blades and their incredibly generous donation."
Mark Cutmore, Blade 1 & Team Leader said: "As ex members of the RAF, we are delighted to be able to give a share of the proceeds from The Blades' Ball to the RAF Benevolent Fund, which does so much to support the RAF family.
"The Blades Ball is held annually and, each year, it is thanks to the generosity of our guests that we are able to make donations such as this to organisations like the RAFBF to help them continue their amazing work changing people’s lives for the better."
