Paul Hewson, our Regional Director for the south of England, paid a visit to a disabled resident of an RAF Benevolent Fund housing trust property. Paul tells us more in this blog.
It was a great to be invited to a garden party held by Sarah McCready in Aylesbury on Saturday 16 July.
Sarah, who has multiple sclerosis, lives in a lovely RAF Benevolent Fund property, and we’ve recently adapted the garden for wheelchair access, so Sarah can tend her plants.
Charlie Dimmock, the TV gardener, also dropped by to see the new garden. Sarah is absolutely thrilled with the changes.
The garden looks healthy and well cared for – a real testament to Sarah's love of it and her hard work looking after the plants.
Despite the weather we all had a good afternoon, and it was great to see firsthand the enormous difference the RAF Benevolent Fund can make to people’s lives, giving them independence and comfort when they need support.
