Climbing mountains for the RAF family

Jade and Peter Harrison grew up in the married quarters in RAF Brize Norton, where their dad is stationed with the RAF. This year they completed an amazing challenge to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Back in April, Jade wrote a post for our blog about their plans to climb Kilimanjaro as a fundraising challenge for the RAFBF. Well now the brother and sister have completed the challenge and raised a whooping £3,271.65. This money will go directly to support the RAF family.

Jade told us why she took on this challenge: "I know that my Dad wakes up in the morning and does a job that makes a difference. It puts things in perspective and makes you realise what is really important in life. Our servicemen and women do an important job to support our country and it is up to us as their families to support them. I am so proud of my Dad. We are supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund because it is unique in its unfaltering recognition of the fact that service life takes its toll not just on the serving men and women, but on the families, partners and children."

Well done, and thank you!

You can still sponsor Jade and Peter on their JustGiving page.
