Princess Marina House has been named among the top 20 care homes in South East England for 2019.
The RAF Benevolent Fund's care and respite centre on the South Coast has received the accolade for the third year running.
General Manager Shirley Steeples said: "We are delighted to have received this award and I pay tribute to all the hard work of our dedicated staff for making it happen.
"The most rewarding aspect of this announcement is that it comes as a result of votes made by our guests.
"Ensuring RAF veterans and their dependants have the break they deserve is central to all we do here at Princess Marina House so I'm pleased to see our guests reflect that."
The award was made by carehome.co.uk and is especially welcome as it comes in Princess Marina House's 50th anniversary year. The staff plan to celebrate their milestone with a tea party among staff, old and new, and the RAF veterans they care for.
Princess Marina House is just one way the Fund tackles the issue of social isolation and loneliness highlighted by our research into the needs of the RAF Family. Veterans enjoy activities as well as daily Lunch Club and outings.
