Newlyweds Kerry and Richard Sawyer, both serving in the Royal Air Force, are celebrating their honeymoon - and the Royal Wedding - in style this week, thanks to the RAF's leading welfare charity.
The RAF Benevolent Fund, which is one of 26 charities benefitting from the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund, provides subsidised short breaks at Seacot House in Sussex for highly stretched RAF personnel and their families.
Kerry, an armourer who works on the RAF's Tornado fighters, said:
"We're really pleased the Royal couple have chosen the RAF Benevolent Fund as one of their wedding charities, it's a very deserving cause.
"At Seacot House we've been able to afford a short honeymoon and some precious time out before we are deployed again. With operational pressures right now, it's probably the only holiday we'll get this year!"
