RAF medics mark Battle of Britain Day

Twenty five Royal Auxiliary Air Force medics from 4626 Squadron will mark Battle of Britain Day, 15 September, in distinctive style with a bike ride to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Three of the intrepid medics from 4626 Squadron before they set out on their ride

The squadron, which specialises in medical evacuation, has been going for 28 years, and has been responsible for evacuating injured personnel from conflicts including Iraq and Afghanistan.

The team will be cycling 75 miles from the Battle of Britain Memorial in Dover to the Bomber Command Memorial at Green Park in London. It’s all to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund’s work supporting the RAF family.

A great way to mark Battle of Britain day and support a great cause!
