Rock Hard Triathlon

Fifteen RAF personnel from RAF Honington aim to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats and to climb the three highest peaks in Great Britain. Flight Lieutenant Rebecca Slark-Hollis, from the Rock Hard Triathlon team, tells us more in this blog.

The Rock Hard Triathlon team line up at RAF Honington

We're planning to cycle over 1000 miles, to climb Snowdon, Scaffel Pike and Ben Nevis and swim across three lakes, Lake Bala, Lake Windermere and Loch Ness.

It is a privilege to have the opportunity to do something challenging for the greater good, to promote the RAF Regiment and raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund, who do a fantastic job in supporting serving and ex-serving members and their families in need.

The pain we will feel over two weeks will be nothing in comparison to the pain experienced by our colleagues and their families who have loved and lost in the face of adversity.

You can follow the team's progress on our Facebook page, and if you can please sponsor us on our JustGiving page.
