Veteran's artwork will help RAF families

Rosie Gibbons, Regional Fundraiser for the RAF Benevolent Fund, was delighted to meet up with ex-soldier Tony Byrne, 50, from Barnstaple, to accept his donation of a series of paintings of Hawk and Sea King Rescue aircraft.

Tony began painting on the advice of Combat Stress, who helped him deal with his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Rosie Gibbons said:

"We're proud to support Combat Stress by funding their East Anglia community outreach team and Tony's paintings are testament to the excellent support the charity offers veterans recovering from trauma.

"They also capture the iconic rescue Sea Kings in all their glory! All proceeds from sales of the images will go towards our work supporting serving and former members of the RAF wherever they need assistance."

You can see more of Tony's artworks on his website.
