Gifts in Wills

A gift in your Will can help us be there for the RAF Family today and tomorrow.

Why leave a gift in your Will?

Mr CottamMr Cottam is leaving his legacy to help look after the next generation

Leaving a legacy is not only easy, but an incredible thing to do to help others in need.

One day you could come to the rescue of an RAF veteran in desperate need, a young airman injured in Afghanistan or the widow and family of an RAF Squadron Leader.

We understand that your family and loved ones must always come first, but once they are taken care of we ask that you consider leaving a gift in your Will to support members of the RAF Family.

Making a pledge or donation

If you are considering leaving a gift in your Will and wish to speak to us about the process then please contact Kate Galbraith on 020 7307 3444, or see the information on our frequently asked questions page.

You can also read stories of how RAF personnel and their families have been supported through the generosity of our donors.

Why Mr Cottam chose to leave a gift in his Will

Mr Cottam served in World War II as a wireless operator who signalled planes out of Britain with supplies, and back from the Front with the wounded. His unit was one of the first to enter Berlin at the end of the war.

"The RAF family has a long tradition of looking out for one another, and putting a gift in my Will to the RAF Benevolent Fund is my way of looking after the next generation."

Now it is his step-grandson who serves in the RAF.

"I was so proud when my step-grandson joined the RAF. This is us at his Passing Out Parade when he was awarded a 'Sparks' badge, just like I was during World War II."

The gift in Mr Cottam's Will, will go towards ensuring that the RAF Benevolent Fund will be there for his step grandson's generation of the RAF Family in times of need. It is his "way of looking after the next generation."
