Children growing up on RAF stations are often in isolated rural locations and they have to deal with their mothers or fathers – sometimes both – being deployed overseas.
This can be tough on the kids, but it can also be tough on the parents. Not only do they have to focus about doing their duty on the frontline, they’ve got to think about their families back home.
The RAF Benevolent Fund is there to make sure that the men and women of the RAF who are serving overseas don't need to worry about their families and children.
Supporting the children of those who serve
We believe that the children of those serving their country deserve first class facilities and a decent start in life. That is why we have launched Airplay.
Airplay is a first in the service community. We are providing games areas, play parks and youth workers to ensure young people on RAF stations are given the support they need.
What young people have to say about Airplay
We rely on your support
We receive no government funding for Airplay – we rely entirely on the generosity of people like you to make this happen.
Every pound donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund's Airplay project will help us take the pressure off those who are bravely serving our country – and give our youngsters the facilities they deserve.
If you would like to offer corporate support or sponsor an Airplay project, please contact Rowena Finch at the RAF Benevolent Fund on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0207 307 3309.
