Applications are now open for a new mental wellbeing support programme for military veterans in the East Midlands who have served in any branch of the Armed Forces. It is a bespoke programme designed to enhance the mental wellbeing of attendees that has been funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. The support programme has been created by Loughborough University and the Royal Air Forces Association. Find out more for further information about the programme and how to apply.

Are you a veteran aged 50+ based in or near Norwich? Do you want to chat with other veterans and reminisce about you service days? AGE UK Norwich, in partnership with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Norwich Veterans Reminiscence and Recall Group.
From 19 November the group will be re-starting after a year-long hiatus in response to COVID-19 restrictions. The group is open to anybody aged 50+, both men and women, who have served in HM Armed Forces in any capacity. It is a chance to share memories and stories over a cuppa and a biscuit and meet other people who may have had similar experiences. Group members are encouraged to bring any pictures, photos, or objects that they might wish to show and share.
The group will meet from 10.30am - 10.30am every other week starting Friday 19 November at Marion Road Day Centre, Marion Road Norwich, NR1 4BN. Parking is available at the centre and transport can be arranged by Age UK Norwich for anyone who needs a hand getting there. So, come pull up a sandbag and swing the lantern in the company of other Norwich based veterans, we would love to see you there.
