Black History Month

  • Charlene White
We are very proud of our family’s RAF service

On the 21 October, as part of ITV's Black History Month, Fund supporter Charlene White took a closer look at her family history in the documentary Empire's Child. Service in the Armed Forces forms part of her family's story as both her father and uncle served in the military, for the RAF and Army respectively. In this guest blog, Charlene tells us how proud she is of that service.

His family settled in Bolton, after his uncle was recruited to serve in the RAF during the Second World War.

In this guest blog, he tells us what it was like to grow up as part of the RAF Family and what his heritage means to him.

  • From the Windrush to an MBE for services to equality and diversity

To mark Black History Month this year, we are celebrating the diversity of our RAF Family.
