The RAF Benevolent Fund was proud to be part of an unforgettable weekend at the Birmingham International Tattoo on 14-15 February 2026, as thousands gathered to celebrate music, military tradition and the Armed Forces community.

From spectacular performances by massed bands and musicians to the energy and colour brought by dancers and featured performers, this year’s Tattoo delivered a powerful and uplifting programme. The talent on display, combined with the passion and professionalism of everyone involved, created an electric atmosphere across the weekend, enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

The event once again demonstrated the enduring appeal of the Birmingham International Tattoo, showcasing an impressive line-up of performers from across the UK and overseas. Stirring musical displays and precision drill performances highlighted the rich heritage and pageantry of the Armed Forces, while contemporary elements brought fresh energy to the show.

Throughout the weekend, the RAF Benevolent Fund welcomed a steady stream of visitors to its merchandise stand. Supporters not only purchased Fund merchandise but also took the opportunity to speak with representatives about the charity’s work and the impact their support has on members of the RAF Family. These conversations underlined the strong connection between the public and the Armed Forces community.

This year’s Tattoo was a collaborative effort between three chosen charities: TroopAid, Royal Star & Garter, and the RAF Benevolent Fund. The partnership was evident throughout the event, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families. For every ticket sale, £1 was donated to supporting the RAF Family with financial grants, mental health services, housing and mobility needs.

Ian Collins, Production Director for the Birmingham International Tattoo, said: "We were delighted to support the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund during the 2026 Tattoo. The Fund does incredible work supporting RAF personnel, veterans, and their families, and it was an honour for the Birmingham International Tattoo to help raise awareness and funds for such a meaningful cause. Giving back to those who have given so much is something we’re very proud to be part of."

The success of the weekend was made possible by the dedication of volunteers, organisers and performers, as well as the significant work undertaken behind the scenes to deliver an event of this scale. Their collective efforts ensured a memorable experience for all who attended.

Rebecca Hooton, Community Fundraiser at the RAF Benevolent Fund, said: "The Birmingham International Tattoo was a fantastic celebration of music, service and community spirit. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support the Armed Forces community and the charities that stand beside them.

"Events like this not only showcase incredible talent, but also create meaningful opportunities to connect with supporters, share the impact of our work, and highlight the ongoing need to support members of the RAF Family. We are extremely grateful to everyone who stopped by, volunteered, performed or contributed to making the weekend such a success."
