On 20 September 2025, Aircraft Commander Mark Buxton completed the Ben Nevis Skyline run to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.The challenge involved an 18-mile-high mountain race over Ben Nevis with 5500ft of climb and descent. 
For 106 years, the RAF Benevolent Fund has stood side-by-side with the RAF Family, providing practical, emotional and financial support, whenever needed. From the Fund’s inception in 1919, through to the Second World War and more recent events, we have been there for serving personnel, veterans and their families - and will continue to be here in the years ahead.

As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, we recognise the incredible achievements of Flying Officer Errol Walton Barrow, a skilled RAF Navigator and former Prime Minister of Barbados.
From 30 September to 2 October, RAF Benson personnel will take part in the 4x4x48 Challenge to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
