The RAF Benevolent Fund has been awarded a grant of £22,875 from the Lest We Forget Association to support serving personnel and their families at RAF Marham.
The grant will go towards a homecoming event at RAF Marham for personnel who are currently deployed overseas on an eight-month NATO exercise called Op Highmast.
The event is scheduled for their return in December, with an aim to support spouses, partners and children of RAF and Royal Navy personnel who have been impacted by the separation from their families.
Working in collaboration with RNRMC, which provides support to Naval families, the grant will go towards event delivery, transport and childcare costs, to remove any barriers to participation.
Maria Lyle, Associate Director of Operations at the Fund said: “We are delighted to receive the support from the Lest We Forget Association to enable families who have been separated to enjoy a reunion on station. We are proud to support social cohesion and emotional wellbeing at RAF stations and grants like this really help us to continue this vital support.”
