HRH Prince William and Miss Middleton have selected the RAF Benevolent Fund as one of the 26 charities which will benefit from their new Charitable Gift Fund.
The Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund has been set up by the couple in response to the goodwill shown them since the announcement of their engagement.
Prince William and Miss Middleton have asked that anyone who might wish to give them a wedding gift consider donating to the new fund instead.
All charities selected have a particular resonance with Prince William and Miss Middleton and reflect issues of particular interest to the couples.
Sir Robert Wright, Controller of the RAF Benevolent Fund said: "We are honoured to have been selected as one of the charities to benefit from the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund.
"As the RAF’s leading welfare charity and on behalf of the RAF family we are delighted to have been selected by the Prince, who is of course a serving member of the Royal Air Force. All donations made to us through the Fund will directly support our work with serving and former RAF personnel and their families, providing them with financial, practical and emotional support whenever they need it."
Donations can be made through the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund website which includes a full list of the charities to benefit, personally chosen by Prince William and Miss Middleton.
