Impact Report 2025
Every year, our Impact Report gives us the opportunity to reflect on the difference we've made together for the RAF Family. It tells the stories behind our work, the challenges we've helped people overcome, and the lasting impact we've made.
Since 1919, we have provided compassionate, timely support to serving personnel, veterans, the bereaved and their families. In 2025 alone, our reach was truly global, delivering localised support across 28 countries to beneficiaries ranging in age from just three months to 103 years old. We remain a key partner in the Royal Air Force's commitment to look after its people during and after service, ensuring their service is recognised, valued and supported long after uniforms are shed.

How we've helped
We were there for Kieran
When Kieran faced homelessness and financial hardship, the Fund was there with immediate support. Emergency grants provided food, replaced stolen work tools, covered Christmas essentials, and helped secure a permanent home by paying his rent deposit and first month's rent. With stability restored, Kieran was able to return to work as an electrician and rebuild his life.
We helped the RAF Family
During the year, we expanded programmes such as BenPlay and BenParenting, helping stations provide tailored support for new parents and young children, while Families and Festival Day grants brought communities together across 25 RAF stations. We invested in welfare and community facilities at locations including RAF Brize Norton, RAF Halton, MOD Boscombe Down and RRC Crickhowell, alongside overseas stations such as Ascension Island.
You helped us raise funds
As an independent charity, fundraising is the engine that powers our work. Without statutory funding, our ability to support the RAF Family depends on our success in generating sustainable income. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised £19.6M in fundraising income during 2025, an increase of £3.4M on the previous year. This strong performance enabled us to continue supporting the RAF Family while investing in services that respond to changing and increasingly complex needs.
