Youngsters from RAF Brize Norton's Airplay group arranged a special gift for local nursing home residents to mark this year's Remembrance Day.

The Homestead nursing home in Carterton were sent a surprise package from RAF Brize Norton's Airplay youth club this month with hand crafted poppies, decorations and cards.

Station Youth Worker Emma Pallant said: "I'm so proud of our lovely, kind Airplay members! The young people loved making the crafts and wrote cards to the residents with kind messages which they were given during their Remembrance service. The home's manager told me that our package really lifted everyone's spirits."

Airplay and Ben Club sessions for ages five-18 are currently being run online during lockdown but RAF Brize Norton hopes to re-open them soon.
