The RAF Benevolent Fund has awarded armed forces charity, Walking With The Wounded (WWTW), a grant for £10,000 to support RAF veterans and their families.

WWTW offers a wide range of services to help armed forces veterans lead fulfilling lives, providing support that ranges from practical help with employment and housing, to emotional and psychological support.

The grant from the Fund strengthens the support network available to RAF veterans and includes delivering a new referral pathway from WWTW to the Fund, for individuals needing access to specialist support.

Kate Childs, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Walking With The Wounded, said: “We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with organisations that share our mission, and collaborative work is one of our key strengths. This generous grant from the RAF Benevolent Fund will enable us to continue building on our commitment to help RAF veterans make the transition into civilian life as smooth as possible.”

Irene Greenwood, Welfare Programmes Manager at the RAF Benevolent Fund said: “Through our partnership with Walking With The Wounded, we can ensure that veterans receive the comprehensive care and specialist support they need to thrive in civilian life. We are honoured to support their mission to improve the lives of RAF veterans and their families.”
