Airplay at RAF Wittering has provided competitions, activity ideas and online sessions for young people since the pandemic began. Young people have also enjoyed planning what they would like to do within their sessions. In this blog some of the RAF Wittering Airplay members share their 'best bits'.

TM, aged eight, said: "The best activities that we have had in our online sessions are escape rooms and scavenger hunts. They both just involve so much interaction which is what I like. I just find it really enjoyable. We also got to meet people that we hadn’t seen before when we joined up with RAF High Wycombe and we made new friends. Hopefully, we will be able to meet them in person one day.

"When we get to go to youth club in real life it will be excellent to actually see people properly. I'm looking forward to the first session which is soon. It’s called catch up and cake and I’m hoping there will be lots of chocolate cake."

FG, aged 10, said: "I have enjoyed coming to the online session as it means I am doing something other than playing Roblox. Scavenger hunts are my favourite thing to do as they are funny. When we were in lockdown it was good to come as I could see and play with other people. I'm not sure if I will be able to come to youth club when it opens as I don’t live on station but maybe I will use the Airplay Connect sessions instead."

JC and IM, aged eight, said: "We enjoyed entering in the Easter competition and we won!! We don’t come to the online sessions, but we do like entering the competitions."
